I earnt well under $18,200 last financial year.
I am a student, and spending a significant amount of time and finances on health and disability diagnostic processes - I don't yet have the right documentation to be eligible for disability support though.
I was not eligible for Centrelink as my spouse's income is just over the cut-off.
Thus, I was financially dependant on my spouse for living, health, and income expenses.
My allowable income deductions estimate to well over $3000.
As noted, I earnt under $18,200 though, so I am eligible for all of the tax I paid will be returned regardless of these deductions.
These $3000+ allowable deductions were paid for from my spouse's income, as my spouse is financially supporting me. Therefore, can my allowable deductions to be added to my spouse's tax return?
Additionally, what about my low income tax offset (LITO)?
If I earnt too little to pay tax - can the LITO I am eligible for be deducted from my spouse's taxable income instead?
