Working from home - hours worked (WEF24)

Question

TaraATO · Accepted Answer

This is still current, but keep in mind you have a record of the hours you work from home and the expenses you have while working at home. And this is for working from home to fulfil your employment duties. Not just carrying out small tasks, such as occasionally taking calls or checking emails. The deduction can be calculated by our fixed rate method (https://www.ato.gov.au/individuals-and-families/income-deductions-offsets-and-records/deductions-you-can-claim/working-from-home-expenses/fixed-rate-method-67-cents) which is 67 cents per hour. Or the actual cost method (https://www.ato.gov.au/individuals-and-families/income-deductions-offsets-and-records/deductions-you-can-claim/working-from-home-expenses/actual-cost-method).
