Can a super capital loss from a previous year (2021-22) be used to offset a capital gain the following tax year? This is not a SMSF and the loss was not reported on my tax return, same with the following years gain. Probably a straightforward answer but not one I can find via a google search so grateful for replies putting me straight.

super capital loss

What does that mean, exactly?

Individuals cannot generate a capital loss from a super fund.

Claiming a deduction for super contributions is not a CGT event, and cannot generate a loss that can carry forward to the next year.
