I receive an on call allowance which is listed on my income statement, so I have paid tax on this amount. I want to know if I can claim this on call allowance as a tax deduction. This is for on call outside of business hours before 8am and after 4pm week days and all weekend.

I am in the service industry and required to be available within the hour of the call out.

The receipt of an allowance does not mean that there is an automatic tax deduction. See "allowances and claiming a tax deduction".

Employment allowances | Australian Taxation Office (ato.gov.au)

To claim a deduction the normal rules of tax deductibility apply. The first rule is that you must have incurred an expense. See work related expenses in this link
