I filed on the 17th July. Now 12 August and still waiting on my refund. Its been approved. If a previous member states its due to the ATO being overwhelmed and a release date is the 21 August. Does anyone know if this is correct?

There could be a number of reasons for how long it takes to process a return. Most returns take around 2-4 weeks to process, so your return is still within this timeframe. To check for any updates you can log into your ATO online account and check the status.
