I still haven’t been paid my tax return from last year it just says balancing account. So I don’t know if it’s just gonna be given to me this year, and I get one big return.

When did you lodge your return?
Balancing account just means we need to make checks with other Govt agencies this can take time.

I hade made my first lodgement last year in October and it still says balancing account, and I hade amended this years lodgement on the 27th of July and still haven’t heard anything.

If it's been since October last year, then it's best to
reach out to us on our individuals line so we can see what the hold-up is.
We try to process online lodgments within 2-4 weeks but,
amendments can take longer.
It's normal to go over 4 weeks especially for an amendment.
I would reach out to us because your lodgment from October last year might be holding up your amendment.
