I provide professional services to clients. I dont meet clients at my office as i dont have a fixed office. I do however meet client at coffee shops and restuarant. Are light meals at coffee and restuarant tax deductable ? My average bill is around $20-$100. No alcohol or entertainment is provided. The purpose of the coffee is to provide a space for me and my client to discuss their needs and how i can help them ? is that something that i can claim tax on ? as it generate an income for me ?
Eating at restaurants and cafes with clients is considered an entertainment expense. Entertainment expenses aren't tax deductible
