Hi

I received my notice of assessment (with credit) 2 months ago (issued on 17 July 2024). Usually I receive my refunds within a couple of days. But this time, the refund have not been deposited in my bank account after 2 months.


I checked my bank account info, which is correct and up to date (and I received my previous refunds without any issue). I also checked my previous years's lodgements, they were all good. And I do not own any loans to the Australian government.


I could not figure out what's going wrong. Can anyone help me with that?

Hi @bobbyreddy,

 

Does the NOA have an effective date on it?

 

This is the date when the refund should be issued to your bank. If we've passed the effective date, there could be something else causing the hold-up.

 

We've covered some info on the progress of tax returns in our article where is my tax return. If you want more specific info about what's happening, give us a call 📞 and we can look at your account.

Hi

I have the same issue.

I received notice of assessment on the 30th of September but refund hasn’t been received yet. There are no effective dates on my assessment.


I really need financial help at the moment.
