I recently had 75$ on my Amazon account and purchased a 300$ gift card (have receipts and screenshots). This is to purchase a Monitor which I need for my Home Office setup as I'll be WFH.

So, without spending on anything else today I purchased a Monitor via Amazon for 370$ . So from this 370$ only 295$ is paid today (to purchase the gift cards) to purchase the Monitor for my office purpose. Is it possible to claim the tax for this 295$ ?

I'm asking this because I'm planning to make a similar purchase for a chair. Have a gift card I received as a Gift worth around 100$ and planning to purchase another gift card worth 300$ solely to buy a office chair.

So, need to know whether I can claim tax.

Agree with @Yuyutsu ; it only matters that you bought an eligible item and that you have a suitable receipt confirming its cost, @thidasaau .

Well of course, who cares how you paid, so long of course as you did!

Thank you @Yuyutsu .@knaresbro .

I have the receipt with the cost. But there it mentions "Amount : 370" , "Gift Card Amount : 370" , so the "Grand Total : 0"

I purchased the Gift cards from Afterpay. I guess I can present their receipt for the gift card purchase
