My partner and I (both Australian citizens) have been living in the UK through a Tier 5 youth mobility visa. We have just moved back to Australia, and were wondering if there was any means of withdrawing the money paid into our UK pensions whilst we were working over there? As I understand, we are able to transfer that pension into a HMRC recognised Aus pension/super fund, however, is there a way we can instead receive that money immediately into our bank accounts? Thanks in advance for any guidance or advise in the matter!

Hi @SullivanMN,

Interesting question. 🤔

You mean like we have here in the way of a departing UK super payment?

Not that we know of, but it wouldn't hurt to contact your superfund there. Maybe even reach out to the UK government themselves for the most up-to-date info on that. 👌
