Hi, the MyGov ID app is telling me to "Update your app" a newer version is available. When I click on "Update" it take me to apple store but there is no newer version to update to. I have deleted the app and re-install but it still gives me the same message. How do I fix this?
Hi @jdayah,
Does your device have IOS 15 or later?
If not, you will need to do a software update on the phone.
If the app is up to date, you should:
- check their time settings are set to automatic.
- close the MyGovID app.
- turn off the Wi-Fi connection on their device.
- enable their mobile data (if required)
- reopen the app.
If this is still not working, we recommend:
- turn off wifi on their smart devices.
- uninstall the myGovID app.
- reinstall the app.
- try again.

I've had the same issue. Tried all the tips listed here. After weeks of frustrating back and forth with ATO helpline they've informed me my iPhone 8+ has become too old to support the app. I'm extremely annoyed, the phone is perfectly functional for all other apps. I can't believe the ATO has done this.....I work for a not for profit so am paid accordingly (!) and am not ready to buy a new phone simply so as company administrator I can lodge our superannuation. Thanks a lot ATO.
