Hey there,

On 20/10/2024, I went through the process of applying for an ABN as I want to start doing food delivery as a side hustle via the ABR website https://abr.gov.au/ABRweb/AbnApply.abr?pid=71

I have since been unable to track the progress of my application. I do not have a tracking number for it and I have no received any emails or text messages in regards to it either. All I have is the PDF printout showing the fields I selected for the application you can print right before submitting the application.

Since I haven't received any notification about my ABN application and do not have a tracking number, I'm now starting to doubt if my application was even lodged in the first place.

Is there a way I am able to see if my application has been submitted? I just need to know so I can just re-apply if it hasn't.

Kind regards,

Luke.

Hi @djbolkas,

I know you say you don't have one, but did a reference number come up on the screen at all when you submitted? This doesn't get emailed out though, so there's no way to retrieve it.

If one did come up, the application should process within 14 days and your info will show on ABN Lookup once it's done. You'll also get a copy of your ABN in the mail.

I'd say to give it a little bit longer to allow minor delays, but if more than 20 days pass, contact the ABR or re-try your application.
