Hello, I would like to consult about my situation. My boyfriend and I are in a long-distance relationship, and we have been in a committed relationship throughout the 2023-2024 fiscal year. We contact each other every day through messages or video calls, and our relationship is genuine and has continued until now. Sometimes we visited each other, and when we did, we lived together for nearly two weeks. He often covers my flight expenses and the costs for outings, while I occasionally buy cooking ingredients and pay for meals at restaurants. In this situation, can he consider me as a spouse for tax purposes? Awaiting for early response. Thank you!

To be a spouse and not married you need to be the following
"although not legally married to you, lived with you on a genuine domestic basis in a relationship as a couple."

A "long-distance relationship" does not qualify.
