i cant add my passport on the mygov app. it says that my passport does not match any previous record. I had a mygov account a few years ago with a different email, however since then i have being using a different email due to not being able to receive emails properly. I have also updated my passport sinve then so the orginal passport would of been old. When i signed into my gov again today with a new email, and tried adding my current passport so i can get a TFN it said it was wrong. what should i do?

Is there an error code coming up with this message? This might help us work out exactly what's going on.
Our first advice is generally to try uninstalling and re-installing the app, then select "I am an existing user", and try adding the new passport after that. Hopefully this works, but we'll be here if it's still not letting you verify it.
