Dear ATO,


I am writing to inquire about the progress of my foreign investor registration application. I submitted the application on 21 November 2024, and I understand that the processing time is up to 5 business days. However, I have not received any updates or results regarding my application to date.


Could you please confirm if there are any issues or errors that may have caused a delay or decline? Alternatively, should I simply wait for the processing to be completed?

For your reference, the ATO receipt ID for my application is [removed by moderator].

Sorry to hear your registration is taking a little longer than expected.


These registrations are usually completed within the 5 business days, but in some cases there can be a slight delay for various reasons. Unfortunately, we don't have the access to view your application through this forum, so I won't be able to give you an exact update. However, the registration is in the right place and the team have your details if they need to reach out.


You can monitor the progress of your application in Online Services for Foreign Investors, where your foreign investor name will appear under the 'Linked Entities' list once completed. I would recommend allowing some more time for the application to progress before getting in touch with the Foreign Investor team for an update if you don't receive anything.
