I am trying to login with MyID so it shouldn't be a matter of entering the wrong password. every time I log in over the last couple of weeks I get the message saying my account is temporarily locked. I lodged my tax return a month ago, my Assessment is due for payment and I can't access it. I have tried different browsers and no luck.

Are you trying to log into your myID using a browser? If so, you'd need to use your myID app.
If you are using your app to log in, we suggest clearing your cache and cookies from your myID app.
Also, have you tried a 'forgot your password' to set a new one? You could try these options and see how you go.

Hi Polly, I am using the MyID app on my phone. I just cleared the app cache. I also cleared the cache and cookies in my browser before attempting to log in to MyGov with MyID again. I'm getting the same message that my account is temporarily locked. I have also tried 'forgot your password' but I get the same error with that. (I tried both methods more than 2 hours apart)

Thanks Polly, I've had my MyGov account reset as my Notice of Assessment will be overdue for payment and I can't log in to get the details! Now I can't link the ATO back to MyGov because I can't log in to find my NOA details to prove my identity! Next year I will print paper copies of everything. I work for accountants and am used to dealing with these things, and understand the need for strong security but honestly, it's a nightmare trying to sort things out when they don't work!
