Hi,


I am an Australian Citizen and I have a TFN. I have recently relocated from WA to QLD, and I need to confirm my address at the DOT to register a car. Among the documents they accept for address confirmation is an Australian Taxation Office File Number confirmation. How can I receive one with my new QLD address listed there? The issue is, I do have a TFN already and I have tried to apply again via this link, which was suggested in another post, but when I fill out the form, ticking that I already hold a TFN, an error comes up that they are unable to proceed with my request. Any tips appreciated.

Hi @Natalia1,


How long ago did you apply for a TFN? If it was after the 28th of January 2013, you can access your TFN advice letter through your myGov account (if it's linked with us). It'll be under My Profile > Communications > History and should show as TFN Notification - Individual.


Otherwise, you'll need to get in touch with us directly and we can issue that to you. Best team for this would be our individual's area listed on our contact page.
