I was working in Australia from 2022 - 2023, on the Temporary Activity (subclass 408) Visa. I returned to the UK in 2023 and received a letter from the Australian Super on 19th April 2024, stating that my super has been transferred to ATO. I would like to transfer the funds within my Super to my state pension in the UK. I tried to do this previously, but couldn't do it on the ATO website as I had the Visa stated above (Temporary Activity subclass 408), instead of the working holiday Visa. I am not yet 67, but I as mentioned, would like to transfer this money to my British NEST pension as I will not be claiming my pension in Australia, being a UK resident.

Hi @Grachelliams,

Alas, this function doesn't exist as yet.

You aren't able to transfer from an Australian superfund to an overseas fund.

You can get it by applying for a DASP, Departing Australia Superannuation Payment, or waiting until you're 65, as this is the age in Australia that you can withdraw tax free.
