Dear ATO

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to ask questions while I am abroad and move forward with my withdrawal process.

I lived in Australia, but in December 2024 I returned to my country. I am currently completing the form on the ATO website to withdraw my funds. I worked in a single company and my funds remained in ART Australian Retirement Trust,

That said, I would like to know where I find and how I complete the fields to move forward with my process

1) retirement fund number (SFN) ART informs me that the ATO must respond to this item.

2) what is my client ID?

3) Retirement Product Identification Number (SPIN): in this

If it doesn't let me enter all the numbers that would be 14 (the complete SPIN number is 60905xxxxxxxxx) but it only lets me register 9 digits, what do I do in this case?

I left Australia on December 4 and no one has been able to give me a response to move forward with this process and recover my funds.

Thank you very much for your prompt response.

Hey @MarilynAvila,

Q 1: is that their ABN (Australian business number)?

That's generally what they need for a DASP application (if that's what you're trying to apply for). Or is it your super fund account number?

Q 2: Is client ID, your Tax File Number? Or is this you superfund account number.

Q 3: SPIN. I don't think you 'have' to put anything here. It will let you proceed without entering anything there. You can (if you want to) write the full SPIN in the notes section.

Regardless of if you need their ABN, or your member account number, or even your own TFN.

These things can't be given to you here on this platform.

Only an ATO operative who you speak with directly, who can verify who you are, can access your account and personal super info.

Another way is to access your own ATO online account through myGov. Then you'll be able to go to the super TAB > Fund details, and you'll find the ABN and member account number. 😎
