I am 65 years old and have less than 1.9 million in my super.

when I exceed my non concessional Cap ($120000) bring forward rule will trigger as I understand.

Will I get a notification from ATO ?

just wondering how I would know it actually has been triggered

You will know that you have triggered if when you contribute more than 120 K,

assuming you have the NCC cap space to do it.

and I will not incur tax on excess contributions

That will depend how close you are the 1.9 M TSB.
