I will be undertaking a two-part short course at a university to further develop skills directly related to my role. My employer has agreed to fund $1,000 of the course tuition fees and I will be covering the remaining $1,800. Will I be able to claim the $18,00 I've paid myself in my personal income tax return?

Hi @hjimenez,

You can claim self-education expenses if it's connected to your current employment.

Tuition fees are listed as an expense you can deduct, so long as you meet the eligibility criteria.
