Hi there,

So I turned 18 recently and have no clue about how to pay tax or do my taxes, etc. However, I am doing a side hustle which is remote and under the company Outlier AI. I just wanted to know, do I need to pay tax on whatever I earn? I make around $200-$400 AUD per week but I've only been doing it for 2-3 weeks. I'm just really scared, I don't want to get in trouble with the authorities.

Hi @Kb1234,

Our article on managing a side hustle is a good read.

Assessable income includes payments for your services and should be reported in your tax return.

To make reporting the income easier for yourself, keep records of the money you earn during the tax year, for the work you are doing.
