I have a permanent resident status since arriving in Australia with my parents in 1972. I am now close to retiring but am unable to achieve the necessary level of 'proof' to obtain a CRN for Centrelink.

There is no option in myID to provide permanent residency status certificate as evidence, so I am stuck on 'medium' strength.

I am yet to apply for citizenship (although I am in the process) as I have been here that long that I have viewed myself as an Aussie for decades.

Any advice as to what I can do please?

Hi @krmsndwn,

Currently, to get a strong myID, you need to have an Australian passport.

Services Australia have some information on other ways to get your CRN with them. It looks like you can verify your ID in MyGov directly. Or, if that's proving difficult, you can contact them via phone or in person.

Hi Rachel.

Thank you for posting this link for me. I will follow this up and hopefully have success in registering myself with Centrelink :).
