I have recently moved to Australia and applied for a tax file number online. However, after a few weeks received nothing in the post. When I called support it would seem my address had been recorded incorrectly in the system. Without knowing what the incorrect address is I cannot seem to find a way to make it correct. Without this address I can't link my ATO to my myGov or anything. I was able to prove my identity on the phone with different docs but it wasn't enough for them to even tell me the address and they told me to verify myself in person. They did not tell me how, or where to do this. The online form to update details requires you to provide the current address...which I don't know.


I must add that my husband has also had an issue with our address being recorded online incorrectly, and we wonder if its because its a relatively new suburb?
