Hi everyone,

so I was taking a look at all the payments received from my employers in the "Income statements" section of the ATO portal, and there are a few things about the payments from my last employer that are not very clear to me.

the first thing is that the employer is shown with 2 differet names, and there's a separate report of the total incomes from this last employer, one that reports a x mount of income in a certain period and the second that reports x amount of income during a certain period.

The "Employer number" is also different in the details of the 2 reports.

So basicaly I dont undestand why there are two different and separate reports of the same employer. Maybe while I was working for this employer they changed the name of their business? What do you think?

the second thing that I dont understand is that there's a certain amount specified at the voice "Employer superannuation contribution liability" in the first report, and when I check in my super fund account, looks like I've received this super payment on my acount.

While I've never received the payment specified at the voice "Employer superannuation contribution liability" in the second report of that same employer.

So my question in this second case is: Why I can see on the ATO portal the amount of money I should've received on my super account, but actualy when I check on my super account I see no payment.

It's been already almost 3 month since I've stoped working for this employer, so I think I should've already received this payment.

Do you think my employer corectly reported all the info to the ATO an the forgot to make the payment on my super account?

I was working on a Working Holiday Visa if this can help.

Sorry if maybe my questions are a little bit stupid, but I'm not very expert about this things.

Thanks

Chris

Hi @Chriss95

If you're seeing separate reports for the same employer this could be because they've changed their payroll software part way through the financial year or another owner has taken over.

Employer superannuation contribution liability is the super you're entitled to from your employer. You should contact your super fund for your up-to-date balance. If you don't think it's right and you haven't received what you're entitled to you should check with the employer. If they dispute owing you an amount and you know they haven't paid what they should then you can report the unpaid Super to us. Check this link for further details.

Hi AriATO,

thanks for the answer.

Ok, then I'll try to first contact my super fund and ask for an up to dat balance and then just in case I'll also contact employer.

Thank you very much,

Chris
