I was in Australia in 2016 with Student Visa, I will returning in this August.
I want to know if TFN of 2016 could still use? I read that i can use de old TFN but i have to unlock it

Hi @Seb_guerrero28,
Good news is your Tax File Number (TFN) is issued for life, so you can still use the TFN you received in 2016 when you return to Oz.
If your TFN is locked, you may need to verify your identity before it's unlocked. You can do this by:
- Logging into MyGov and checking your TFN status under ATO online services.
- Contacting us directly to verify your identity (I'd recommend doing this once back on shore)
- Updating your details if needed, such as your address or financial institution details.
If you don't know your TFN, you can try and find it online through the above steps already mentioned, or again you may have to contact us directly. Here is some useful info.
