Scenario: I have my FHSS determination. I’ve signed a contract to buy a house and requested my First Home Super Saver (FHSS) release within the allowed 90 days after signing. Is it okay to pay the balance of the purchase price to the vendor before I have actually received the FHSS release funds in my bank account? Or do I need to wait until the FHSS money is released before making the final payment?

Hi @walker,
I've reached out to one of our experts about this one. We'll be in touch as soon as we can.
Hi @walker,
Good news, we've heard back from our experts!
It wouldn't matter if you make your final home payment to the vendor before you receive the FHSS amounts, as long as you meet all eligibility criteria and also comply with the post release requirements of the scheme.
For more info, see the FHSS eligibility and post release notification requirements.
