Hi
I am requiring some clarification regarding claiming Work Related Self Education Expenses.
I am currently employed full-time as a software engineer, and pursuing a Part-Time Masters degree in The United Kingdom in the field of Software Engineering (MSc Software Engineering).
Since this degree is directly correlated to my employment (an advanced degree in software engineering and I am employed as a software/cloud engineer), I would like some guidance on what I can exactly claim:
Am I eligible to claim:
- My tuition fees, for this academic year it totals to about 39k
- Since I require to stay abroad, I book term accomodation at my university campus since the self-education requires me to be abroad.
- Return flights to the UK.
Are these eligible deductions to claim in my tax-return
I have receipts, evidence and proof of payment to back-up my claims.
