I am trying to link the ATO service to my MyGov account, but I keep receiving the following error:

"Your details could not be matched. Error code: PAB.DE.0009. Please call 13 28 61 for assistance."

I have tried calling 13 28 61 multiple times over the past few days, but I have not been able to get through due to peak call times. The calls are disconnected before I can speak to anyone.

I have carefully checked that my personal details, including my name, date of birth, and TFN, are correctly entered. However, the issue still persists.

Could you please assist me with linking my MyGov account to the ATO service? If any verification or additional documentation is required, I am happy to provide it.

Hi @Alicehan,


That error means your details didn’t match what we have on file for you.


If you can’t locate the right information you need to link myGov to the ATO that matches our records, you won’t be able to do this online.


You’re only option is to call us for a linking code. Just keep trying - it is a busy time of year but you will get through eventually.


Tax returns aren't due until 31 October, so good news is, you have time!

I am having the same problem. Call 13 28 61 for assistance. Error code: PAB.DE.0009. Every time I call 13 28 61, they are busy and hang up. I have been trying this for the last 1 year. It is very frustrating..
