I am currently an employee and have access to my employers online services for tax agents

I have recently registered as a tax agent and have a few clients separate from my employer

I have been struggling to set my own portal access up, I called RAM dept and was told that it was a conflict of interest and could not be done. Is this correct?

If so would it be any different if I had a company tax agent licence?

It is possible to connect multiple Registered Agent Numbers on a single log in.

You have to make sure you, personally, are registered with the Tax Practitioner Board and have your own agent number. So, pratically, you are set up to run your own practice, complete with ABN.

I am not sure with the mechanics on how to though.

Yes I have my RAN which is under personal ABN

initially was getting errors re identity strength when trying to link personal abn in relationship manager

He linked that successfully but still no ability to switch to that ABN in agent portal. He looked into it and said can’t be done
