I just received an email in my personal email account from an account named myGov stating I have a new messages in regards to my tax return but I am reluctant to click the link as I have once been hacked on my ato account.
so does anyone know if this is a legitimate email from myGov/ato - [Removed by moderator]

We (the ATO and myGov) won't send emails with links asking you to log in or provide personal info. If we need to contact you, we’ll ask you to log in to your myGov account directly by typing the address into your browser – not through a link in an email.
