Hi @Lachie2013,

@MPrivate gave you a good link to our information about applying for a TFN if you are under 18. It also tells you what documents you can use to prove who you are. Because of your age, you'll need a parent or guardian to sign on your behalf.

Getting a TFN is free.

You've got some options:

• Complete the online form and go to an Australia Post office to show your identity documents.
• Or, fill out the paper form and send it by post.

If you're a Centrelink customer, you can also apply in person at Services Australia.

You won't be able to apply for a TFN online. Even with a passport, you need to be at least 15 years old to do it completely online.
