I have retired from my position and am now on Long Service leave (LSL). I have a couple of questions:

  1. Do I still get super contributions while on LSL.
  2. As I have retired (87) can I get a lump sum payment from my super fund or must I take a pension.

Thanks for any information.

Employer must make super guarantee payments while an employee is on long service leave, @Globetrotter448 . The leave is classed as ordinary time earnings (OTE).

But unless you retired fron one employer and you're on leave from another, I can't see how you could be simultaneously on leave and retired.

As you're over 65, you can access your super as you wish, as lump sums and/or regular payments.

Probably should clarify, I have only worked for the one employer. I am on LSL and do not work (so I class this as retired). I suppose technically I am still employed. Hopefully this corrects any ambiguity.

Thanks for the insight on super.
