I bought a new car and filled it in depreciating asset using the tool under deductions section, clicked 'save to myTax', but it doesn't show under deductions, and taxable income remains unchanged, anyone knows why? Much appreciated for your input.

Hi @dandandandaaan,
There could be a few reasons why your car isn't showing in your deductions.
- The asset might not have saved properly. Double-check that you clicked 'Save to myTax' after completing all required fields in the tool.
- The asset might be showing in a different section - depending on how you classified the car (e.g., work-related car expenses vs other deductions). It could appear in a different part of myTax.
- If you're using the logbook method for a work-related car, the depreciation will only display when you select this method in myTax.
We'd recommend having a look at the Depreciation and capital allowances tool, checking your car is listed correctly, and ensuring it's been saved to myTax.
