I received a letter from 10 October from the tax office notifying me that I have entered the PAYG instalment system. I also received a text to say that I need to start paying PAYG instalments. The letter states that the payment is due on 28 October and I will receive an instalment notice. I have been checking in on myGov and there is no instalment notices or activity statements. Also when I try to go into Manage Tax it goes to a page that says "server error". When can I expect to receive the instalment notice and can I change to an annual payment?
I am finding the same issue. Deadline is 2 days away and I have no idea how I can pay.

I read someone's post from this time last year and the answers seemed to indicate that if we got the letter in October we would be enrolled in PAYG from next quarter Nov-Jan and the payment would be due by end of Feb 2026. I am hoping this is correct. My husband has the same issue and spent an hour on the phone to the tax office with no resolution.
I have the same issue. The information in the letter of 10 October under the heading: What you need to do, is not helpful. It says the first instalment is due 28 October and that an instalment notice will be sent before each payment is due. No instalment notice received yet. Therefore, I assume payment is not required until a notice is received and that no interest will be applied for late payment. This appears to be an administrative failure.
Hi @MelissaY, @analouro and @Suechill - The best option would be phoning our business line and asking for the PAYG instalment area.
We will ask our experts and reply with any updated info when we can.
