In the event that an after-tax concessional contribution was made to superannuation (paid from after tax salary funds, then Notice of Intention to claim a tax deduction form lodged and accepted with super fund), when completing tax return, is this amount then to be manually deducted from the income amount reported by the employer to ATO, as it should now be shown in the Reportable Superannuation Contributions instead?

e.g. if annual salary was $100k before tax and this is the amount reported by employers Income Statement to ATO

$10k personal contribution made to super using after-tax funds, then Notice of Intention to claim a tax deduction form lodged and accepted with super fund

When doing income tax return is gross payment salary income to be reduced to $90k ($100k - $10k) and reportable superannuation contributions inputted as $10k in order to prevent income tax being applied on the $10k that is now a tax deductible super contribution?
