I am the Treasurer of a Small Progress Association in a small country town - Linton , Victoria. I have been doing all our Business Activity Statements for the last 5 years , and I was getting concerned that we had not received our paper copy for the December period in the mail as yet - on calling the ATO I was advised that as I am not an authorised person for our Association they were unable to discuss with me. I have ben able to access the forms for change of details to be able to be granted access , but am mindful in the interim our BAS is due at the end of this month , as as yet I do not have the paperwork to complete same - this is the first time this has happened in over 5 years and was wondering if there was a simple way of getting the BAS re sent to be completed - Business is Linton & District Progress Association Inc. As it appears the BAS has gone astray in the mail , just requesting a copy of same to be able to lodge all correctly - any assistance appreciated.

The easiest option is to get someone who is listed on the account to contact us. If you use a tax agent, they can do that for you. If you're not sure who is listed you will need to wait until the change of details form is processed so you can call on behalf of the business.
For associations similar to this one, I usually recommend keeping a few blank change of details forms on hand, so if there are any changes to your office bearers you can get it update right away.
