I requested that the ATO held super should be withdrawn and sent to me as a cheque, I am now worried that this might affect my chances of re-applying for my second year working holiday visa and i wish to cancel the request. How can i proceed about this matter? Or rather - could withdrawing this ATO held super ( i still have a super account in australia) make the process of reapplying for a 2nd year visa more difficult? Thank you in advance - Im aware this might not be the correct forum .. i probably spent 3 hours straight yesterday simply trying to find a way to contact ATO from abroad. . Best,Fredrik

Hi @fredrik93,

Some good news is in order! Claiming a Departing Australia Super Payment (DASP), won't actually affect your future visa applications. Meaning if you access your ATO-held super now, it isn't something that will impact your approval for a second working holiday visa. Obviously you would need to meet the criteria for another visa, and this is arranged through the Department of Home Affairs.

Unfortunately though, once your application to access ATO-held super has been successfully submitted, there's no option to cancel or withdraw the request.

Hopefully the good news as mentioned above outweighs this though, and we wish you the best with your future travels back here :)
