This might be a really stupid question. I was in Australia as an international student and at my first job my employer was very vague about my superannuation. All my pay slips have the super contribution but I don't know where this money has gone as I haven't received any super. This was back in 2018 though so this might be a long shot. Is there a way I can recover my super or should I forget about it?

If super guarantee (SG) has been paid on your behalf you should be able to view this via myGov link with us. Once you can confirm super is held under your name, if your previous visa has been cancelled, you can apply for it. If you are no longer in Australia you can apply for your super using the DASP online application form.
If you are unable to locate your super via myGov you can contact us directly. We can advise if super has been paid via your employer, or you may need to lodge an unpaid super inquiry.
