Well it's been 10 days and still nothing. My refund is just sitting in credit with an effective date showing the 23rd may. Has the Anzac public holiday maybe delayed this? I know it's 12 days but it's always been quicker then 10days like this time. What can I do? Or do you think it will change to showing an eft still with 1 day left out of the 12 days allowed ?

Hi @Petridis_86

If your lodgment has passed the 12 business days and we're doing extra checks, we'll usually notify you by letter. But you've had confirmation of what's happening over the phone, so you might not get a letter.

We can retain refunds while we're checking activity statements, so you won't be able to get a refund while there is a review on your activity statements or account. In the mean time, you should make sure your bank details are up to date so that we can get it to you as quickly as possible once it's ready to be issued.

Hi @Petridis_86,

Sorry to hear your refund has taken a little longer to process than usual. The service standard we aim to meet for these lodgements is 12 business days. There has been a few public holidays recently which may have impacted the processing time slightly. By the sounds of it you're still within the timeframe so hopefully it won't be too much longer before that goes out!

I spoke to ato they said it's under review but noone has notified me of this happening. How long does the review take can't I apply for refund if it goes longer then the 12 days if they are still reviewing if after 12 days ? Am I able to request the refund? I read something like that on your website?
