I have 2 super funds & I wish to consolidate them into one. I have rung the super provider & their info is correct and have the full amount from my employer.

So now I wish to transfer & close one account. But on the ATO website the balance is incorrect. I have seen information that super is only reported to the ATO on 30 June.

Can I do this transaction now - even if the ATO hasn't got the correct balance? Or should I wait till after the 30 June this year to transfer & close the account then?

Although fees will continue to mount up & I believe sometimes ATO may not get correct balance till 30 October.

Balances shown by ATO is not relevant to rollovers - it is historical data that could be up to a year old.

Just ask the fund you want to keep to organise a full balance rollover from the other fund.

Bruce4Tax, can I just confirm that this can be done on the ATO website, under Super. It then goes to the Transfer page. Then there's a box next to each super company & I just tick the one I want to transfer from & it will transfer to the other fund/acct & close the account. Please advise YES or NO. Thanks
