I'm a small business registered for GST, so need tax invoices for items purchased for my BAS and tax.

I have recently purchased items totaling around $900 and then asked the business in question for a tax invoice - initially face to face, then by email to the local manager and then using the website contact form to notify their head office (interstate).

It's been over a month and still nothing.

How can I report them to the ATO for failing to meet their tax obligations?

Hi @SmallSoleTrader,

If you've requested an invoice from a supplier so you can claim a GST credit and they haven't provided one after 28 days, you can request permission to use another document as a valid tax invoice. We have information on how to do this on our website at when you claim a GST credit, under "when you don't receive a tax invoice."
