I noticed that my employer (QLD Health) are not paying Super contributions on the higher duties wages. They are only contributing on the lower, substantive wage. They say they won't pay it on the increase wage until you've worked in the position for a year. Is this right?

I would have thought that super would apply at the full rate - but it also depends on your particular award. Government bodies often have their own rules.

Best to ask the union, if you are a member.
