I was born in Townsville in 1969. I have recently changed my name (transgender affirming name). The online name change says I cannot do this online but there isn't any information that tells me how to see that my name change is registered with ATO

Hi @WhitneyM,

Unfortunately, name changes aren't automatically registered with us. This does mean that you'll need to make the change with us on your side. Our page on updating your name runs through the different ways you can do this. Once your name has been updated it'll be reflected online in the linked ATO section of your myGov account (if you have one).
