Hello,

Recently, I got 3 jobs which is 2 part time and one casual. I am wondering how do I process my tax-free threshold with these jobs?

I am claiming tax-free threshold on casual job and also one of my part time jobs. Furthermore, I am paying tax on other part time job which is I got the highest salary out of these 3 jobs I got.

When I searched up online its say that I should claim tax-free threshold from the employer that pays the highest salary or wage. Therefore, do I need to let my employer know that I need to claim tax-free threshold from the highest salary which is the one part time and the other 2 which is one part time and casual should get taxed or no tax-free threshold?

Thanks,

Hi @1111bella1111,

You can avoid ending up with a tax debt by letting your employers know you want to be taxed differently. It's pretty simple to do, you just need to provide each of them with a withholding declaration letting them know of the changes.

Our page about income from more than one job goes through this in more detail. Basically, you can fill out the withholding declaration to say you want to claim the tax-free threshold from the job where you earn the most, and fill out another one saying that you don't want to claim the tax-free threshold from your other jobs. Then just provide them to each of your employers and they'll tax you differently from now on.
