I live in Poland. I got a cheque via postin may 2022 and I did not cash it. What can I do to get tax return on my bank account (I have bank account in Australia). I remember that I stated my account number in tax return form.

We attempt to pay refunds electronically first and issue a cheque if the funds come back to us. Usually overseas banks will accept our cheques if you endorse it by signing the back.
If you're unable to cash in the cheque overseas you'll need to get the refund reissued by us.

I am unable to cash in the cheque. What do I have to to get the refund reissued by ATO? Do I need to call ATO or send a mail with my account number (NAB)?

If that's the case you'll need to contact us to have the refund issued again. If you have a myGov account linked with us you can check to see if we've got any bank details on record for you. You can update your details online before calling to speed up the process. You can find a bit of info on updating your bank details on our website.
