My ex employer moved the business interstate.

He did not pay any super for 4 months until we were all terminated.

I have sent the info to ATO.

I am getting tiny SGC vouchers each month but thier is about $1300 still owing.

Hi @Andrewkafp,

The SGC vouchers you're receiving are payments we've collected from your former employer and paid into your super fund. The process of recovering unpaid super can take time.

When an employer doesn’t pay super in full, on time, and to the correct fund, they’re required to pay the Super Guarantee Charge (SGC) to us. As we recover these amounts, they’re apportioned across all impacted employees. We then pay the super and related interest into each employee’s super account. This means you may receive the amounts in stages as recovery progresses.

We may take firmer action against employers who don’t meet their SG obligations. This can include:

  • director penalty notices
  • starting garnishee action, and
  • taking legal action where necessary.

While we’ll do our best to recover the unpaid super and keep you updated along the way, there may also be other options available to you to claim unpaid super that's worth looking into.
