I recently made my TFN application (Arrived recently in Australia as permanent resident). Unfortunately, I made a mistake in my Passport Number as I missed out to put a digit in my Passport Number. What can I do to update this information? Thanks for your help!

Hi @Sreepriya,

We can't make changes to your TFN application after you've submitted it. However, once you receive your TFN, you'll be able to update your details with us, including your passport number.

Don't submit a second application, as this can cause delays in processing. Your TFN should arrive at the address you provided within 28 days of applying. If you made an error with your postal address on the application, it's a good idea to set up mail redirection with Australia Post to make sure your TFN reaches you.

If it's been more than 28 days and you haven't received your TFN, you'll need to contact us.
