Hi @Dakshinamurthy,
You can verify if there's a mismatch between your SMSF details held with us and those held by your ESA provider by contacting us on the superannuation line (fast key codes 4, then 1). We can check the SMSF details we hold on record, including your bank account name, electronic service address (ESA), and other fund information.
The rollover is failing because the transferring fund (CFS) uses the SMSF verification service (SVS) to check that your SMSF and member details match exactly with what we hold. If there's any mismatch in the bank account name, ESA, or other details, the SVS returns a non-verified response and the rollover can't proceed.
Common reasons for a non-verified response include:
- bank account details don't match exactly (for example, 'ABC Superfund' versus 'ABC Superannuation Fund')
- ESA details are incomplete or don't match our records
- your SMSF status isn't showing as 'Complying' or 'Regulated'
- the ABN isn't registered as an SMSF.
You can update your SMSF's ESA and bank account details with us through the Profile menu in Online services for business, through a registered agent, or by calling us. Make sure the bank account name you provide to us matches exactly what's registered with your financial institution.
Once you've confirmed the details we hold are correct and match your bank records, contact CFS to request the rollover again. The details must be identical across all parties for the rollover to succeed.
