My Accountants/Financial Adviser have applied for SMSF ABN

ABN has been flagged as name similarity.

We purchased a property ( contract signed) using SMSF


We need the ABN as it's pivotal to opening SMSF Bank account, Loan application .


ATO have put some notes on the application, however quote the 28 days rule.


We shall suffer financial hardship and possible breach of contract on the key dates ( deposit / financial approval ) if we do not have an ABN.


How can we escalate the "name similarity" ABN issue?


There's alot of names similar of superfund lookup..


We need to be taken seriously.

We can't fast-track ABN applications that have been flagged for name similarity checks, as these checks are required to protect the integrity of the ABN system. The 28-day processing timeframe applies to all applications that need manual review.
